Work Samples

Here you will find my favorite long term projects I have worked on. I collaborated across several teams, spearheaded workflow and developed new concepts that aided in success of each. For more examples in specific categories, see the links below.

“Surviving the News: A How-To Guide” is a series I created during my time as a Francis Ellen Watkins Harper fellow with The 19th News. Following the 2024 election, I wanted to address our audience’s need for connection and community during a turbulent time.

I pitched this series as a way to allow those who work in the media and news to share how they cope with news cycle. From there I developed workflows, interviewed the first participant and collaborated with the rest of my audience team and the creative design team to create the final iteration of my idea.

To aid with recruitment for the next fellowship cohort, I spearheaded the rollout of a fellows’ testimonial series for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. I interviews all of the fellows and wrote copy for all platforms. I worked with the creative design team to redesign the graphics to address recent changes to Instagram’s layout.

As part of a wider rollout plan, I collaborated with a team member to create a bank of social copy and a posting schedule to highlight each fellow on LinkedIn. This year the fellowship had a record-breaking amount of applicants.

For the production of this post, I worked closely with our photo editor and news designer to create the graphics. I wrote the copy for the captions and graphics based on the full article.
